Trustee Vacancy


The Trust currently has two vacant Trustee positions on the Board. One to represent Weston Mill and one to represent Keyham. The role will require you to serve as an ambassador for the charity promoting the understanding and recognition of, and support for, the North Yard Community Trust CIO.

For each vacancy the ideal person will need to live in the area, have good local knowledge and be active in the local community. They will need to be IT literate, a team player and be able to communicate clearly and sensitively and to take an active part in discussions.

The role will require attendance at one evening meeting per month and Trustees will be expected to take time to prepare in advance for those meetings. Trustees may be asked to attend additional meetings when required and to visit projects.

This is a voluntary role and there is no remuneration.

The North Yard Community Trust became the North Yard Community Trust CIO on 12th January 2017. We are now a registered charity (no. 1171099)

Meeting dates

The North Yard Community Trust Board meets on the third Tuesday of the month. There are two types of meetings, Administration and Application and these are held on alternative months.
